Here are finally pictures from day 1 in New York!! I had to pick and choose, so look on facebook for more!

There was some bad weather when we landed

Almost to Manhattan Island!

We survived our first cab ride!

This was a grafitti 9/11 memorial on the side of a building

The city from Queensboro Bridge

The view from our hotel room

Walking in Time Square...the weather was still not pretty

Picking up our Broadway tickets!

I can't remember which this is

At the New York Stock Exchange

George Washington statue

Brooklyn Bridge from Manhattan Island

This is just a cool building in the Financial District

The famous bull!

The Ground Zero memorial

Ground Zero

Does this building look strange?

A cool statue close to Ground Zero

Ground Zero again

St. Paul's Chapal graveyard

Funny sign...

Inside St. Paul's Chapel...it was still filled with memorial items about 9/11 and had little displays up for different groups - like the fire department, the victims, etc

The fountain in City Hall Park

Another cool statue - in City Hall Park - and I think it was made out of wax or something

The Brooklyn  Bridge from City Hall Park

We couldn't figure out what this building was, but it was gorgeous!

Another funny sign
Canal Street!! - As much as I didn't like Chinatown, I hope to go back here to get a purse :o)

Chinatown - this has been my least favorite part

Manhattan Bridge

Welcome to Little Italy!

  1. Thanks for sharing these with us. You're taking some great pictures, and I know you're enjoying the new camera!! Does your site give you the option of adding a caption under each picture? You know me... I'm just too curious; like what's the story behind the colorful statue; what are the movers hauling up on the side of the building; and is that a famous restaurant or cafe, or just one that you like? You're going to have a great collection by the time you get home. Love you!
